Here at BerlinBonez we are well into anything thats a bit, well, weird, but sometimes I see things that leave me wondering....

Picture
Im not sure if this is supposed to be Street Art (maybee Banksy has got green fingers all of a sudden?), a political statement or just some seriously missguided Guerilla Gardening by an activist who just dropped a tab.

Anyway, whatever, this tram wasn´t actually going anywhere, it was just standing standing there, er...... like...er .....vegetating or something.....

Coming up next on BerlinBonez Broadcasting Company:
Well, boy am I glad that it is nearly time for the organ grinder and his monkey to move on to the next newsworthy mega story. I have just seen too many clips of airliners crashing into towers, people jumping out of windows on the 110th. floor and George Bush post event speeches.

It’s strange, I know, but personally I thought that I could hear the sound of cash registers ringing all over Media City Arizona while others were genuinely mourning. But maybe that was just my tinnitus….

Oh, by the way, did you know that the CIA invented television back in the 1930´s just so they could later instigate 9/11 and dupe the whole world into consuming endless conspiracy films and books as part of a plan to turbo charge the US economy and rid the world of the threat of Chinese supremacy? No?!!! Shit!, I thought EVERYONE knew that by now…check out this link on U-Tube, it just blows your mind dude….http://youtu.be/w-0Ms7mId34

(That’s enough 9/11 now –Ed.)

I came accross this guy at the Alexanderplatz last night doing big drawings in chalk on the pavement.......

I took the pics at night using my iphone so they´re more than a bit grungy. Heres another with buildings in the background to show the scale of it..

The Artist, understandably, didn´t want his picture on the blog. We couldn´t really talk as he spoke (I think) Portuguese. I´m not even sure what his Name is - I`m guessing he´s Nasio painkordia.
Respect, dude, that takes a bit more talent than spraying a tag or slapping a sticker and it doesn´t ruin beautifull buildings either.

BRIGHT is the absolute Mecca for all fans of streetwear and street culture. Since the trade show takes place in our home town, we thought it was time to take a peek at whats going on down there...
The whole thing takes place in a huge seventies building that , bizzarley enough, used to be an HQ building of the East German Secret Police, the STASI. If you´re into megalomanic monstrous pre-fab washed concrete buildings, then Normannenstrasse 19 is a must visit location for you when in the Hauptstadt. If you´re in Berlin when BRIGHT is on (twice a year) then you can kill two birds with one stone.

Whilst the glitzy "Bread & Butter" show in Berlin deals with the commercial side of general "liesure wear" (don´t you just love that phrase?) BRIGHT is much more about the fringes where street culture crosses over with atists and retail. Loads of more or less underground labels and skateboard pushers hang out there for a three day grunge-fest based around clothes you cant buy in a department store.
Picture
Parallel to the show theres a major skateboard contest "Above the Line"that was sponsored by "Relentless" this year.
Once the official contest is over and the glittery prizes have been awarded to the Pros. the field is opened for all and Berlin´s rolling teenage (or middle aged in some casses) dirt bags take centre stage doing their level best to get air borne on a small wooden plank with wheels on it.........that´s cool.....
